"I have one and only one desire: to try to persuade you to believe in the Restoration through Joseph Smith. It is not and has never been completed. It is a work yet before us. It is a work largely neglected since the time Joseph and Hyrum breathed their last breath. The prophecies that were delivered to Joseph Smith, both by Christ in the First Vision and by Moroni on the night of the first visit..., are a rallying cry for us to rise up and lay hold upon things. It's a rallying cry—a prophecy*—that does not fulfill itself. It gets fulfilled by what you do. Whether or not you fulfill those prophecies is dependent upon whether you will, like the ancient Israelites, elect not to go up. Or whether you—like Moses, like Joseph, like Hyrum—choose instead to forsake your sins and to move forward, even in the face of your own weakness and unworthiness." - Denver Snuffer
The following are the prophecies and rallying cries told to Joseph by Jesus in the First Vision and the angel on the first night:
First, the Lord told Joseph in the grove: "They draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof."
This statement by the Lord (quoting Isaiah) described Christian clergy in 1820 and applies timelessly today to all clergy inasmuch as they don't repent and turn to Christ. Christ offered more from March 26,1820 to June 27, 1844; and now again, sounding in your ears, Christ is offering more. Will we rise up and receive more, or will be be "cut off from among the people"? Read below to see the prophecies that Joseph received by the mouth of an angel in his bedroom.
Said the angel to Joseph (in the JSH):
"For behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea and all that do wickedly, shall burn as stubble; for they that cometh shall burn them, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch."
The proud and wicked, having not been sealed, have no connection to the family of God. The "rallying cry" and prophesy is that a sealing must take place!
"Behold, I will reveal unto you the Priesthood by the hand of Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. He also quoted the next verse differently: And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers; if it were not so, the whole earth would be utterly wasted at his coming."
The rallying cry is that our hearts should be seeking the "promises made to the fathers" and yearning for the fulfillment of said promises. What are the promises? Answers are being given today, the heavens are open.
The angel quoted the 11th Chapter of Isaiah. From that chapter, these are some of the things that can serve as our "rallying cry" (see DC 113):
The angel then quoted Acts 3:22-23:
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
This should motivate everyone reading this to "hear that prophet" to avoid being "destroyed."
Relative to Acts 3 above, the angel told Joseph, "the day had not yet come when they who would not hear his voice should be cut off from among the people."
The rallying cry is to hear Christ's voice to avoid being "cut off."
Then the Lord quoted Joel 2: "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth — blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come."
The rallying cry is to be looking for the "wonders in the heavens and in the earth." There have been many publicized blood moons in recent years (with rich meaning attached to each), but perhaps the greatest sign, was the second solar eclipse which completed an X over America on April 8, 2024.
The angel also told Joseph that "the fullness of the gentiles was soon to come in."
What is "fulness of the Gentiles" referring to, esp in relation to 3 Nephi 16:10:
"At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them."
Shall we not rise up and lay hold upon things the Lord desires to give us? He wants to visit us personally. If you're a mainstream LDS, please realize that "the fulness of the gospel" is being taught today. The Lord's prophecy above says the mainstream Mormons (the gentiles) will "reject" and "sin against" the fulness. The fulness is nothing short of being redeemed by the Second Comforter (Ether 3:13). Turn to the Lord, like Moses exhorted, let us go up the Mount to be sanctified by the Lord.
You are hereby given an opportunity to receive more...
"I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom." (2 Nephi 28:30)
